Allen, 6'4", 265 lbs. From Greensboro, NC, was one of Campbell University's all-time players as he ended his career with the Fighting Camels as the school's leader in sacks with 20.5 and in tackles for a loss with 38.
In 2023 he was selected in the third round, 19th overall, by the Memphis Showboats of the USFL. He opted for the NFL Draft. After going undrafted, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the LA Chargers. He did not make the final roster cuts but joined the practice squad. In week one he played against the Miami Dolphins, becoming the first player ever from Campbell and the first Northeast Guilford, North Carolina high school product to play in an NFL game. Allen played in two games that season.
In 2024 Allen signed with the Green Bay Packers and soon after joined the practice squad of the New England Patriots.
2025 saw Allen sign with the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League. Later that spring he signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
At Campbell, Allen played in 44 career games from 2018 through 2022. He compiled 148 tackles with 28 tackles for a loss and 20.5 sacks. He also had one interception, broke up five passes, forced three fumbles and recovered two more.
A four-time All-Big South selection, Allen was the Conference Player of the Year as a Junior in 2021. He had 17.5 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks, which was a single season school record. That year he was also named as a Second-Team All-American.
Allen played in just eight games his final season but was still invited to the East-West Shine Bowl and to the Hula Bowl.
