Pirates Sign DB Jahron Manning
ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Pirates have signed defensive back Jahron Manning. Manning comes to the Pirates after having gone to rookie minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Manning signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL Draft.

Manning, who grew up in New Orleans, LA, played his final season of collegiate football in 2025 at Mississippi State where he led the team in tackles with 91. He played in 13 games, started 11 and posted four tackles for a loss, Manning had an interception, defended six passes and broke up five. His 91 tackles were third most in the SEC.
Twice that season he had games with double-digit tackles making 14 vs. Texas and 13 against Texas A&M. He also excelled off the field as an SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll student. He finished his division one collegiate career with 176 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, had eight passes broken up and four interceptions.
His breakout season was in 2024 while playing at Old Dominion. Manning started all 11 games for the Monarchs when he was second on the team with 85 tackles and tied for third with three interceptions. He recorded 5.5 tackles for a loss and had four games with ten or more tackles. Manning was selected a third-team All Sunbelt Conference performer.
The 5'10", 195 lb. defensive back began his collegiate football career at the Junior College level. In 2022 he played for Tyler in Texas where he played in five games making seven tackles. In 2023 Copiah-Lincoln in Mississippi he was a first-team All-America and the Defensive MVP for the Wolves as he had 71 tackles in 12 games. He also notched three interceptions and forced a fumble, leading the team to a division championship and the state finals.
