Pirates Sign WR Mookie Cooper
ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Pirates have signed wide receiver Mookie Cooper. Cooper was a standout at the University of Missouri from 2021 through 2024. In 43 career games for the Tigers he made 21 starts and pulled in 92 receptions for 1,179 yards with one touchdown. He also ran the ball 10 times for 20 yards. Twice he had seven receptions in a game.

The 5'8", 180 lb. sure-handed wideout from St. Louis, MO missed the final six games of his collegiate career due to injury. His last game for Mizzou saw him set a game high with 87 receiving yards, but it was his 78-yard catch on third and long that helped to ignite a comeback win against Auburn.
In 2023 he played in all 13 games for Missouri making 11 starts. That season he set seasonal highs with 36 receptions, 447 receiving yards and an average of 34.4 yards per game. That fall he was also a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll. His only touchdown was a 60-yard catch against South Carolina in 2021.
Cooper began his college career with the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2020 and played in one game before taking a redshirt. He was a four-star prospect coming out of Trinity Catholic High School and considered as one of the top prep players in Missouri. He was ranked 113th in ESPN's top 300 and played in the ESPN Under Armor All-American Game.
