ORLANDO, FL - The Pirates have signed offensive lineman Na’Ty Rodgers who brings 43 games of professional experience with him to Orlando. The 6’4”, 310 lb. pass protector and run blocker gained most of that experience in the Canadian Football League after going to camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after college.

A native of Pomfret, Md. Rodgers first games as a pro took place in 2018 with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL where he played ten games making eight starts. In 2019 he was a member of the practice squad with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and then was drafted by the Seattle Dragons of the XFL. He remained with Seattle until February first of 2020
Before the pandemic of 2020 Rodgers would start three games with the Tampa Bay Vipers in the XFL. The next two seasons would see the former University of Houston Cougar playing north of the border once again.
In 2021 Rodgers made four starts for the Ottawa Redblacks. Then in 2022 he started nine games for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Then it was back to the U.S. as Rodgers signed with the Houston Gamblers of the USLF. He started nine of the ten games in which he appeared in the 2023 season and helped the Gamblers to be second in rushing yards per game with 116.5 and first in rushing touchdowns with 17. The following season he played in seven games with the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL making two starts.
Rodgers played collegiately at three schools. He started at South Carolina in 2013 as a redshirt freshman and did not see any playing time for the Gamecocks. He then transferred to Iowa Western Community College for two seasons as the Reivers won back-to-back ICCAC Conference Championships.
Rodgers finished his collegiate career at the University of Houston. He played right tackle in 20 games, making 19 starts for the Cougars. In 2016, Houston's offense had 29 rushing touchdowns and 1,912 yards on the ground. In his final season in 2017 he started all 12 games and powered the Cougars to 25 rushing touchdowns and 2,002 rushing yards.
